Elpis Mission: Officially Registered and Expanding its Reach in 2024

In 2024, Elpis Mission reached a significant milestone by becoming officially registered as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Kenya. This step was taken to enhance its capacity to address critical needs within the local communities. The organization’s primary focus is raising funds to support essential services such as feeding programs, building homes for the homeless, and providing assistance to children who lack school fees and clothing.

A key aspect of Elpis Mission’s efforts involves collaborating with local churches, with Faithway Family Church playing a particularly active role. These partnerships help extend the reach and impact of the mission, allowing it to better serve those in need.

Elpis Mission believes that with the generous support of donors and partners, they can continue to make a lasting difference. The organization aims to build more homes for the homeless, feed many more people, help pay school fees, cover medical bills, and provide support in overcoming the daily challenges faced by the most vulnerable members of the community.

Together, with the power of community and faith, Elpis Mission is making strides towards a brighter, more hopeful future for those in need.

The Story of Elpis Mission: Empowering Communities in Kenya

Elpis Mission was born out of compassion and a vision for change. In 2016, David Lee, a missionary from the United States, traveled to Kenya with the aim of preaching and ministering to the local communities. During his time there, he was deeply moved by the realities faced by many individuals, particularly widows and orphans. As he spoke with community members, he received numerous requests for support — not just spiritual but also practical. The needs ranged from housing, food, and school fees to basic clothing.

David’s experiences in Kenya highlighted a significant gap in economic empowerment. He saw that many people were not just seeking short-term relief but a way to sustainably improve their lives. After returning to the U.S., David made it his mission to help these communities in a meaningful and lasting way. He began fundraising efforts to provide homes, food, and Bibles for those most in need, especially widows and vulnerable families. His work through Elpis Mission has since helped bring hope and dignity to many lives in Kenya.

Today, Elpis Mission continues to focus on empowering these communities, ensuring that the most vulnerable have access to the basic necessities they need to thrive. The mission’s ongoing efforts include building homes, providing food supplies, and distributing Bibles, all with the aim of fostering long-term change and economic self-sufficiency. Through these acts of compassion, Elpis Mission seeks to bring hope where it is needed most.

Making a Difference in Kenya: A Minnesota Family’s Journey with Elpis Mission

Recently, a compassionate family from Minnesota traveled to Kenya to volunteer with Elpis Mission, dedicated to uplifting local communities. Their journey was filled with meaningful moments as they prayed for the residents, spent quality time engaging with them, and provided nourishing meals for those in need.

Through their efforts, the family witnessed the strength and resilience of the Kenyan people while sharing their love and support, hosted by Faithway Family Church. Elpis Mission continues to be a vital lifeline for the community, working tirelessly to address the needs of the vulnerable. Together, we can create lasting change and foster hope for a brighter future.
